Trainee Finance Team Administrator/Receptionist(37 hrs )
Ref: FRA-HQ-24

£138 per week
Nottingham City

The Tasks:

The role will involve a variety of tasks (for which full training will be given). The primary function will be to provide clerical and administrative support to the Finance Team. Duties will include processing purchase orders, log and post recharges on the finance systems, and general office tasks such as photocopying, mail processing, basic word processing, and database inputting. In addition the post holder will provide regular reception service.

Support/Training:

Full training and support will be given. This will include in-house specific to the post and study to an NVQ in Business Administration. Appropriate training will also be given in Information Technology systems.

Apprenticeships are fully funded by the Government for 16-18 year olds. Any shortfall in funding for training for people 19+ may be passed on to the employee.

Applicants will need to:

  • Be able to communicate effectively
  • Have basic keyboard skills
  • Have (or expect to gain) 5 GCSEs at grade D or above (including Maths and English)
  • Be reliable and flexible
  • Be willing to learn

GuideLine Career Services (GCS) is the sister Company to Connexions Nottinghamshire and is the ‘accountable body’ for all external or non-core funding.

The role:

•To check, process and correct client paperwork to ensure contract compliance and to maintain quality standards

•To input and update client data on Management Information Systems

•To provide a wide range of general administrative support to the team

•To act as the first point of contact for enquiries- including clients, staff and partners.

Applicants will need to:

  • Be educated to NVQ level 2 or equivalent (e.g. 4/5 GCSE’s @ A-C level or intermediate GNVQ).
  • Be an effective administrator with excellent organisational skills and the ability to plan, control and monitor time to meet deadlines
  • Have good interpersonal skills particularly effective communication
  • Have proficient computer skills, able to work effectively with Management Information maintaining MI systems and processes and producing statistical reports.
