Connexions are committed to working alongside Children's Centres throughout the County to provide support to Teenage parents to return to Employment, Education or Training (EET). In so doing we aim to actively support Children's Centres in meeting their 2010 PSA target of 60% of Teenage Parents into EET.
Connexions may work with Children's Centres in a number of ways including:
- Information sharing about Teenage Parents in an area and in particular about vulnerable young parents
- Joint work to support individual or groups of young parents back into EET
- Personal Advisors delivering Drop In and Outreach to Children Centres
- Connexions being represented on key Children Centre Partnership ECM Themed groups. For example the "Economic Well Being Sub Group.
In partnership with a key strategic lead within Children's centres, we are working to develop a framework of partnership working between Connexions Nottinghamshire and Nottinghamshire Childrens' Centres to support our joint work into the future"
