'Connexions Access Points' in Nottinghamshire
Connexions Nottinghamshire is working to develop information and resource bases for young people with a number of community and voluntary organisations.
The aim is to extend access to a range of support for people from areas without Connexions Centres and in communities that might not otherwise take advantage of these services.
Depending on the nature of the agency and it's users, the resources provided for young people and parents/carers include publications, leaflets, a PC, software (like Kangaroo, Kudos, etc) and notice-boards. Staff training is also being provided.
So far, we have started working with the following community organisations, some of which now have extensive resources already, whilst with others we in discussion to explore the resource provision that meets their user's needs:
