Provision Plus

Provision Plus is the new name for any programme that learners not accessing all or part of the mainstream curriculum can undertake.  The content now includes provision from all over the city and county and so will be sent out to all schools. It will form a section of the Common Prospectus in the city and conurbation to underline the fact that these youngsters still need to be part of the curriculum planning processes for years 10 and 11. In the county, most schools have not had the Common Prospectus so they will be asked to replace the content in the first edition 'Directory of Alternative Provision' with this section.

Work is now being done to support the quality of the provision for this group of learners and you will see in the section that providers should produce information for schools about themselves and their performace to date. This should help schools make better informed decisions about the providers they use and work with.
