Vacancies Online - over 300 jobs!

Since October, 2500 individual young people have registered online and saved their own password-protected application form to enable them to apply quickly, easily and independently for jobs and training.

The Central Vacancy Unit is currently handling, on average, about 250 electronically generated application forms per week from young people. These forms are then printed and forwarded to employers and learning providers.

The number of Notts' vacancies for young people and school/college leavers will have a Summer peak of 300 real, 'live' vacancies. There should be something there for everyone too! A recent analysis of opportunities currently advertised on the site showed that 70% of the vacancies asked for a qualification level of either “GCSE grade D/E’s” or “No formal qualifications”.

Coming soon on Vacancies Online will be a user friendly online CV service for young people to complement their online application form. We are currently evaluating the CV with clients and it should be ready to launch during August.
