New Year, new start for Notts youngJob seekers invited to attend Connexions Opportunities Day!Young job seekers from Nottingham and surrounding areas are invited to attend the Connexions Nottinghamshire Opportunities day at the city Connexions centre on Carlton Street on Thursday 21st January 2010. The event is designed to encourage young people interested in taking up an Apprenticeship or other training opportunity to take that first step and come along and see what opportunities are on offer in the area. Eight of the area’s biggest training providers, including Castle College, Access Training, NHTA (Nottinghamshire Hair Training Association), VT Automotive, Zenos (training in IT support), the National Apprenticeship Service and Silver Track will be present to talk about training options, with the possibility of an on-the-spot interview for some candidates in the afternoon. The event, which runs from 10.30am to 3pm, will take place at Connexions Nottinghamshire’s City Connexions centre on Carlton Street in Hockley. On the day young people can:
Connexions Business Engagement Adviser, Ruth Mure says: “It’s an open house. I’d recommend that any young people who are starting their New Year thinking about an Apprenticeship, new job or other training opportunities should come down check out the options available.” Connexions Opportunities team Advisers will also be available to talk about job and training opportunities available throughout Nottinghamshire.
