- NEW! 'The GENDER PACK'
Exciting materials to support you in widening students’ aspirations and challenge their thinking related to gender career choices have been launched by Connexions Nottinghamshire. Gender Stereotyping and CEIAG has a higher profile than ever and, as stated in the 'Statutory Guidance: Impartial Careers Education (DCSF October 2009), schools need to ‘ensure that careers education provision is effective in challenging all forms of stereotyping (e.g. in making choices about learning and work opportunities)’. This need to challenge traditional gender based views of occupational choice is also now subject to greater scrutiny by OFSTED inspection and the latest resources from Futures/Connexions are designed to enable you to deliver innovative lessons which can challenge students assumptions and help to raise their aspirations.
