Nottinghamshire Work Based Learning Awards 2005

On the 25th January 2005 Nottinghamshire Training Network hosted an 'Oscar Style' Awards Evening for Work Based Learning at Center Parcs presented by 96 Trent FM’s Jo and Twiggy.

The event was attended by over 300 people that included the 25 finalists, employers, parents, sponsors, Work Based Learning providers and guests.

For each Work Based Learning Award category there was a winner receiving a prize of £300 worth of the vouchers and a fabulous cut-glass trophy, and two runners up, with the exception of the Pre 16 award where there were three runners up, all receiving £75 worth of vouchers and a fabulous cut-glass trophy.

Connexions Nottinghamshire sponsored the Personal Achiever Award – this award was for learners who had made a considerable amount of progress with their learning and are proud of this personal achievement.

The ‘grand finale’ was to announce an overall winner that won a huge cheque for £1,000! (Sponsored by Nottinghamshire Training Network). All of the Awards were presented by Jo and Twiggy from 96 Trent FM!

The finalists had been selected from over 250 entries and had gone through two stages of judging to become a finalist and attend at Center Parcs.
