Parentline Plus Time to Talk campaign

Organised by course subject or training areas, the service provides detailed opportunity information and gives specific school, college and provider details. MyChoiceNotts also includes lots of other useful support for students, parents/carers and partners, including ideas on qualifications, making choices, open days and evenings, money to study and much more!

Launch of the 2008 Children, Young People and Families Grant Programme

The third round of the Children, Young People and Families Grant Programme opened for bids on the 30 July. The grant programme is a major opportunity for the department to engage the voluntary sector in our work in improving outcomes for children, young people and families. Approximately £11million is available for three year strategic grants and one year project grants that deliver work of national significance in improving outcomes for children, young people and families. Expressions of interest in receiving a grant need to be submitted by 1 October.

The launch of the 2007 Apprenticeship Awards last week coincided with lots of articles in the news about raising the level of skills in the UK. It's a chance for young people to get recognition for their achievements and there are a number of categories including Young Apprenticeship, Personal Achiever and Apprentice of the Year award. Young people submitted to the local NTN awards don't automatically get nominated for the LSC Apparenticeship Awards so make sure your clients don't miss out!
